...an unbeliever watches God work!

Working in a Christian food bank is an excellent way of introducing people to the awesome wonder-working power of God!

I was married to a man for 23 years, who had seen an awesome miracle - he'd actually watched a woman's leg grow at least six inches in a Kathryn Kuhlman meeting, but had been told, by his parents, and by his pastor, that he had been hypnotized, and it didn't really happen, and so had become a hardened, bitter unbeliever.

When the food bank opened, i would tell him some stories of the little things that happened at the food bank, just to encourage and challenge him to ask God for himself if these things were true.

It so happened that he got an injury at work, and was unable to do his job for a while, and so, just to ease the boredom, he would go into the food bank, and watch what was happening.

While he was watching, i found out later as he shared with me what he was doing, he was challenging God to prove to him, not through me, but directly to him, that His miracle working power was the same, yesterday, today, and forever.  He began to test God.

Two stories that he shared with me, that were both equally as meaningful to him, are as follows:  the soup cans, and the eggs.  Follow the links to read his stories.

It was the egg story that finally broke through the hard shell of bitterness in this man who'd wanted to serve God, but had been told by people he trusted that the things that he knew were true were not - he finally again came to know, for himself, that God is the same, yesterday, today, and forever, and He still performs miracles today!
